Mobile Pet Grooming FAQs

It is difficult to provide a proper estimate without seeing your pup in person. The price of the service will depend on the time spent and the service being done. The average small dog haircut would be $125-$140. When filling out the online booking form, please provide as much information as possible and I will give you a range of what to expect. 

Offering a one on one service, your pup will not have any time spent waiting around. However time depends on the service, add-ons, and how your pup feels about the experience. Expect one to three hours.

Getting your pup on a schedule is highly recommended and required in some cases. When scheduling an appointment, be prepared to have an estimated wait time of at least two weeks. At this point The Polished Pup is not open until May.

4 to 6 weeks is highly suggested for haircuts and no later than 8 weeks. I will recommend a set schedule for your dog and highly suggest we pre-book to ensure you have an appointment when needed. Dogs who are outside this range may incur a higher fee than their previous appointments due to excessive tangling or impacted coat. 

I groom within Federal Way and the surrounding areas. This would include Auburn, Kent, Des Moines, Tacoma, Fife, Milton, and Puyallup. On a case by case basis, I will accept other locations. 

I will do our best to coordinate with you on best days and times for appointments. However, I only service certain areas on certain days and estimated times are built around projected travel times and other appointments that day. You will be provided with a two hour window of when to expect an arrival. 

Yes, I require proof of up-to-date rabies vaccine for all pets that I groom.  I recommend following your veterinarian’s vaccine schedule for your pet but a current rabies vaccine will need to be on file before grooming your dog. This is important and a state requirement! I will not be able to groom your dog if it is expired upon the day of the appointment and a cancellation fee will apply.

Please note it may be 24-48 hours before I am able to get back to you but I strive to return all messages within the same day. 

I understand that things come up and appointments may need to be cancelled. I ask that you give as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours a fee of 50% of expected service will apply (anywhere from $50-$100). This is because your appointment can be difficult to fill due to coordinating routes.
